1. Did you know: an x-ray of a baby’s hand makes it look like their bones are just kinda floating around in there.

Our 11-month-old somehow injured her hand or wrist, so we took her in for x-rays to figure out what was wrong. While the scans didn’t give us any clear answers, I found the x-ray itself pretty fascinating. The good news? Our little baby girl is going to be just fine—apparently, infants have Wolverine-level regenerative powers! Kids really are tougher than they look.

Doherty was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with blonde hair covering her body, each strand about 2 inches long (5.1 cm).
She was diagnosed with hypertrichosis lanuginosa, a rare condition. Interestingly, none of her relatives are known to have had the same condition, making her case even more unique.

By the age of 5, her hair had grown to approximately 5 inches (130 mm), and by her teenage years, it reached about 9 inches (230 mm).
